Our Approach
Every therapy program begins with getting to know your child and family. We work collaboratively to identify meaningful goals and develop individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices. Therapy is regularly monitored and adjusted to ensure progress remains aligned with your child's evolving needs.
Families are an important part of the process. We provide ongoing communication, coaching, and practical strategies to help support skill development beyond therapy sessions.
Individualized therapy allows children and youth to learn in a focused, supportive environment where teaching strategies can be tailored to their unique learning style. By building on strengths and addressing areas of need, we help children develop confidence, independence, and skills that support success at home, in school, and within their community.
Consultations
Our Consultation Program provides individualized consultation services that can take place at our centre, in your home, or at your child’s school. Consultations may follow a comprehensive assessment or be initiated directly through families seeking support. Based on assessment results and family goals, we provide tailored recommendations and collaborate closely with caregivers and educators to develop effective strategies that support your child’s needs and long-term goals.
Social Emotional Learning
Helping children build confidence, emotional regulation, and strong social skills through engaging, individualized learning experiences. Our program focuses on understanding emotions, developing healthy coping strategies, fostering positive relationships, and building the skills needed to thrive at home, school, and in the community. It also teaches children what to do when learning feels difficult; helping them recognize frustration, stay regulated, and use practical strategies to persist through challenges, ask for help, and keep going even when tasks feel hard.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) within ABA
We incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)-informed strategies within our ABA programming to support the development of psychological flexibility, emotional regulation, and meaningful engagement in learning and daily activities. While ABA focuses on understanding and changing behaviour through environmental supports and skill acquisition, ACT complements this work by helping children develop healthier relationships with their thoughts and feelings.
Using developmentally appropriate, values-based strategies, children are supported in noticing internal experiences without becoming overwhelmed by them, while continuing to participate in activities that are important for their growth and well-being. This includes building skills in mindfulness, coping with discomfort, and persisting through challenges in adaptive ways.
ACT is used as a complementary approach within ABA-based programming to enhance emotional readiness for learning, support flexibility, and promote long-term resilience and independence.
Parent Training & Coaching
Parents play an essential role in their child's growth and success. Our parent training services are designed to provide caregivers with practical, evidence-based strategies that can be used in everyday routines and real-life situations. Through collaboration, coaching, and ongoing support, we help families build confidence in managing challenges, promoting skill development, and creating meaningful opportunities for learning at home and in the community. Our goal is to empower parents with the tools and knowledge needed to support their child's progress while strengthening family relationships.
Academic Program:
The Academic Program is designed to create a supportive learning environment where children who find traditional school settings challenging can feel safe, understood, and successful. We believe that meaningful academic progress happens when emotional well-being and learning are supported together, so therapeutic strategies are woven into the school day to promote regulation, confidence, and engagement.
Our program follows the Ontario Curriculum and is delivered in small, structured classroom settings that allow for individualized instruction alongside group learning experiences. Students are supported not only in core academic areas, but also in developing essential life skills such as communication, independence, self-regulation, and social interaction.
This program is well suited for learners who benefit from a more personalized, predictable environment, where they can progress at their own pace while receiving the supports needed to thrive both academically and emotionally. Both full-time and part-time spaces are available to meet the diverse needs of families.
